Q: WHEN IS TOWN MEETING DAY?

A: The informational meeting is Monday, March 4, 2019 at 7:00 pm at the Rupert Fire Hall. Voting is Tuesday, March 5,  2019, 10:00 – 7:00 at the Town Office.

Q: WHEN ARE PROPERTY TAXES DUE?

A: Rupert operates on a July 1 to June 30 Fiscal year. Property taxes for tax year 2019-2020, the first 50% of the bill is due on September 10, 2019 and the second 50% is due on February 10, 2020. Payment may be made at the town office or by mail.

Q: WHEN MUST DOG LICENSES BE RENEWED?

A: Registration due date for 2019 is April 1.  License fees are $ 10 for neutered or spayed dogs and $ 14 for unaltered dogs.  Payment is to be made at the Town Office. There is a $ 4 per license penalty charge for registrations after April 1, 2019. See page 21 of the F’2016-2017 Annual Report for more details.

Q: WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR THE 2019 TOWN MEETING?

A: Voting takes place on the first Tuesday in March, which will be March 5th in 2019. The informational meeting will be held at the Rupert Firehouse  at 7:30 PM on Monday, March 4th.

Q: HOW DO I OBTAIN AN ABSENTEE BALLOT?

A: Ballots are available at the Town Office and are also printed on page 2 of the Annual Report.

Q: WHAT IS THE THEME FOR THE 2019 OLD HOME DAYS PARADE?

Old Home Days is the second Thursday through Saturday in August. The parade begins at 5:30 on Saturday.
